Medical Burnout

Trigger warning: This post contains vulnerable topics that may be triggering for some people.

Chronic Illness Journey

Throughout the last couple years of searching for answers to the chronic conditions I suffer from, I have spent a  hefty amount of money to find little comfort or knowledge about what is going on with my body. Money is just a very small aspect of the impact this journey has had on me.

I have realized that all the continuous testing and being treated like I am crazy has really taken a toll on my mental health. It starts to make you question and second guess every single thing you feel.

I am a person that very much believes that you know when your body doesn’t feel right. We know our bodies better than anyone. But after continuous testing and Drs questioning your symptoms, it really makes you second guess your own sanity.

Taking A Break

I have decided I am going to take a break from the numerous Dr appointments. My pshysciatrist is my number one supporter and he is the one person on my care team I plan on continuing to see. I am absolutely exhausted mentally and physically.

I would love to hear other people’s experience when it comes to this situation. Did you find comfort? Did you continue your medical journey?
